Collins Dental Group is an accredited, independent dental practice. We believe in the importance of quality healthcare for you and your family and maintain no affiliation with any specific health funds, meaning we have the same fees for all patients.

We exclusively use Australian laboratories to make our crowns, veneers, splints and other restorations because we believe in quality work and supporting local industry. We invest in the best materials, instruments and equipment to ensure a high-quality dental experience.

At Collins Dental Group, you will receive great value for money with high-quality, long-lasting dental treatments, and we always work within your budget to help you get the care you need. We will issue customised quotations once a dentist has assessed your mouth, and we can also provide a HICAPS quote to estimate your health fund benefit.

We accept EFTPOS, debit and credit cards, and cash (sorry, no cheques).

Health Fund Insurance

Our EFTPOS/HICAPS facilities make it easy to claim health insurance rebates. After your dental visit, we simply swipe your health fund card through the HICAPS terminal. Within seconds, your claim will be authorised and you simply pay the gap — the difference between the treatment fee and your health fund benefit.

As an independent practice, we are not owned by or contracted to any health fund. We treat every patient equally, and if you have dental health cover, your claim can be processed electronically.

High Quality Dental for Veterans

Collins Dental proudly offers high quality dental services for Veterans who hold a Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) health care card.

Our practice bills DVA directly so there is no paperwork or payment needed from you. However, it often requires approval from DVA before treatment is commenced.

DVA Gold card covers the majority of dental services that you need.

DVA White card dental treatments are only sometimes covered if you have an approved dental condition.

Free Kids Dental

Collins Dental Group proudly bulk-bills the Medicare Child Dental Benefit Scheme (CDBS). The CDBS is a Medicare program that provides financial support for dental treatment on eligible children who are aged between 2 and 17. To qualify, you (the parent, carer or guardian) or the child must receive certain payments for at least part of the calendar year from the government eg Family Tax Benefit A. The CDBS includes $1152 over 2 calendar years, and can be used on general dental services, including preventative and restorative services.

We welcome all new patients and to all our existing patients covered under this child dental benefits scheme we provide check-ups, cleaning, x-rays, fissure sealants, fillings and extractions.

Orthodontic teeth straightening is not covered by scheme.
